Dr White is a medicalpractitioner and consultant psychiatrist based in Melbourne, with over three decades of psychiatric experience in Australia and overseas, including 15 years in community mental health services.
He consults in medicolegal civil forensic psychiatry, whilst maintaining an active clinical practice.
He is an accredited Independent Medical Examiner and Permanent Impairment Assessor for WorkSafe Victoria, WorkCover Tasmania/NSW/Queensland, Return To Work South Australia, Transport Accident Commission Victoria, Motor Accidents Authority NSW, and Comcare; an Approved Medical Specialist (Disputes) for Workers Compensation Commission, NSW; and Authorised Report Writer for Victims Services, NSW.
For 20 years, Dr White was involved in consultation-liaison psychiatry and training programs at the interface of medicine and psychiatry at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and was a Principal Supervisor for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).
He is an Assessor for the RANZCP Specialist International Medical Graduates accreditation program.
Dr White holds dual qualifications as an Expert Witness with the Australasian College of Legal Medicine and as a Certified Independent Medical Examiner with the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners.
